Balajee Bricks Industries

Balajee Bricks Industries is right here at Govind Pura on the Main Road. We've been making bricks for a while now. It's dusty work but someone has to do it. The trucks come in early, usually around dawn. We get the clay ready, mix it up, and press it into the molds. It takes time for them to dry out in the sun before they go into the kiln. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us much. If it rains, everything slows down and we just wait. People from around here come by to ask for a load for their new house or a wall. We just keep the stacks moving. It's a simple setup. My brother helps with the loading and I handle the orders. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the yard and the kiln. You'll see the smoke when we are firing a batch. We try to keep things steady so people can finish their building work. It’s hard labor, standing in the sun all day, but it’s what we know how to do. The main road makes it easy for the tractors to get in and out without getting stuck. We just stay busy making sure there are enough bricks ready for whoever needs them next week. It's just us working out here and trying to keep the yard organized despite the mess. It's not a glamorous job but there's a certain rhythm to it that we've grown to like over time.
