Baba Baidyanath Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Baba Baidyanath Farmers Producer Company Limited and we are based out of Govindpur. If you know the Madhupur area then you probably know we are over by Haripur Kolwa. It is a rural spot in Deoghar district and most of us here have been farming since we were just kids. This company is basically a way for the local farmers to get together and handle the business side of things. It is hard to do everything alone so we figured working as a group made more sense for everyone. We handle whatever comes off the farms in this part of Jharkhand. The post office is in Haripur Kolwa and that is where the mail goes. Life in Deoghar is mostly about the seasons and making sure the crops get what they need to grow. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or meeting up in the village to talk about prices and moving goods. It is not always easy and sometimes the rain does not come when it should but we just keep at it. There is no marketing team here just us farmers trying to figure things out as we go along. We have lived here our whole lives so we know every corner of Govindpur. This producer company is our way of staying independent while still having a bit of organization. It is just practical work that needs doing every day.
