Vibhu Kitchen Equipment

We are Vibhu Kitchen Equipment at number 75 on G.B. Road. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets. There's always someone loading or unloading something onto the pavement, and you have to watch your step. Kitchen equipment is our trade—big stoves, stainless steel counters, and those heavy-duty burners. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to move around in the back because of all the crates. Showing people how the burners work or explaining the different sizes of the sinks takes up a lot of the day. It’s noisy outside with all the honking, but we’re used to it. Fancy displays aren't something we do. The equipment is just there for people to see and touch. Restaurant owners come through often. They usually know exactly what they want and don't like to waste time. Hands are usually covered in metal dust or oil by the end of the day. It’s not a clean job but someone has to do it. Everything is kept track of in a big ledger we keep on the main desk. Computers are okay, but paper feels better for us. It’s a family-run feel even if we aren't all family. Being at this spot for quite a while has made us part of the street. Walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. Orders for the customers are the main focus. Sometimes we stay late just to finish the inventory and keep things moving.
