Maven Stainless/ Jay Kay Enterprises

A-127 in the Wazirpur Indl. Area is where you will find us. We go by Maven Stainless or Jay Kay Enterprises, depending on who you are talking to or what paperwork you are looking at. It is a busy part of the city and the air always feels a bit heavy with the smell of metal and grease. Our workshop is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is where everything gets done. We have piles of stainless steel sheets in one corner and finished parts in another. The floor is concrete and has plenty of cracks from years of heavy stuff being dropped on it. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. Usually, someone just shouts from the back if they hear someone come in the front gate. It gets loud with the grinding and the cutting, so you have to speak up. We spend our days mostly covered in a bit of grit, working through the list of tasks. Wazirpur is full of places like ours, all squeezed together. We know the tea stall guy around the corner better than we know any corporate types. It is just a regular shop where we put in the hours and hope the machines don't break down on a Friday afternoon. There is always something that needs fixing or a stack of metal that needs moving. We just keep our heads down and worry about the work.
