The Leprosy Mission Hospital

Our building is tucked away at E-19 in East Jawahar Park, right in the Laxmi Nagar area. It’s a hospital, so things are usually quite serious around here. We see people coming in from all over, often looking a bit tired or worried about their health. The staff here at The Leprosy Mission Hospital just try to keep things running smoothly. It’s not like those big private hospitals with fancy lobbies and air conditioning everywhere. We have plain walls, simple benches for waiting, and a lot of corridors that we walk up and down all day long. The work is steady and honest. We spend a lot of time talking to patients and their families, trying to explain how the treatments work without using too many complicated medical words. Outside, Laxmi Nagar is always buzzing with noise and traffic, but inside it’s a bit more controlled, even if it gets crowded during the morning hours. We don’t go around making big claims about what we do or how we work. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and help the people who are currently in the wards or waiting in the OPD. There is always a lot of cleaning to do and records to update in the office. It’s a busy life in a crowded part of New Delhi. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so most of the neighbors know us well. We just focus on the medical work and making sure everyone gets seen.
