Sunil Enterprises

If you come down to Krishna Nagar, specifically to B-5/22, you’ll find us at Sunil Enterprises. It’s a local business we’ve been running for quite some time now. We sell various supplies and hardware parts that people need for their homes or for their own small shops. The space inside is a bit tight because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand at all times. You’ll see metal shelves reaching all the way up to the ceiling, filled with cardboard boxes and loose parts. I’m usually there behind the wooden counter, or maybe out in the back checking what we need to reorder from the distributors. It’s a total family effort, really. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. Most of our customers are just regular people from the neighborhood who have been coming to see us for years. We know their families and we know exactly what they usually need when they walk through the door. The street outside can get very congested with rickshaws and bikes, especially in the evenings, but that’s just how Krishna Nagar is. We keep the shop open six days a week, and it’s a lot of hours. It’s hard work, and my back sometimes aches from lifting heavy crates, but it’s a good, honest life. We don’t go in for big sales or flashy posters on the walls. We just sell things at a fair price and try to be helpful to everyone.
