Sumit Telecom

Our little place is called Sumit Telecom and we are located in Azad Market. The specific address is Shop No 9888 in Nawab Ganj. If you know Nawab Ganj, you know it’s a very crowded and energetic area. Our shop is one of many tucked into the street, and we mostly deal with phones, recharges, and small electronics. It’s a narrow space, so we have to be very careful about where we put everything. We have glass counters that show off the different items we have for sale. People are always popping in to ask about a plan or to get their screen fixed. It can get quite loud with all the shouting from the market outside and the music playing from other shops. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there aren't many customers. The walls are covered in posters for different mobile networks. We spend a lot of time handling small parts and typing on the computer to process payments. Azad Market is the kind of place where you have to be quick, or you’ll get left behind. We know most of the people on our block and we often share tea in the afternoons. We aren't a big chain, just a local shop trying to help people stay connected. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the new technology, but we just do our best to learn as we go and keep the shop running.
