Recruitment Firm

We are a small recruitment firm located in Sector 9, Rohini, in New Delhi. The office is right in the middle of a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes. You can hear the vegetable sellers outside and the kids playing after school. We spend most of our day looking at resumes and calling people up to see if they’re looking for work. It can get pretty loud when three of us are on the phone at the same time. We don't have any fancy software to do the work for us; we just read through the files and try to match people with the right spots. Sometimes we get people walking in off the street asking for jobs, and we try to sit them down for a minute if we have the time. The desks are covered in sticky notes and old coffee mugs. Rohini is a big area, so we get people coming in from all over. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a while and people know where to find us. It’s steady work, and while it’s not always exciting, it feels good when someone actually gets hired. We just keep at it, day after day, and try to keep the paperwork from taking over the whole room.
