Raj Trading Co.

Raj Trading Co. is tucked away at Plot No. 2374 in Chatta Shaji. If you’ve ever been to Chawri Bazar, you know how packed those streets get. It’s a constant maze of people, carts, and rickshaws moving through the lanes. We work out of this small plot and it’s always a bit of a squeeze. There is never a quiet moment in this part of Delhi. We deal with various trading goods, and our day is mostly spent answering the door or digging through the shelves to find what someone asked for. The building is old, like everything else around here, but it holds up. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lights. It’s just a place to do business. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we all kind of look out for each other when the crowds get too thick. Loading things out of here is always a challenge because of the traffic, so we have to be quick about it. Sometimes we just sit on the crates and have tea while waiting for a delivery to arrive. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping things organized in a very tight space. We don’t do much advertising; the location in the heart of the bazaar is enough to keep us busy from morning until the shutters go down at night.
