Prem Sons Hardware is located at No. 2902 in Bazar Sirkiwalan. If you’ve ever walked through Chawari Bazar, you know how narrow and tight the lanes can be. Getting anything through those streets is always a bit of a challenge. Our shop has been in this same building for a long time. It’s packed to the rafters with all sorts of hardware bits and pieces. With shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, it sometimes takes us a minute to find that one specific bolt a customer needs. Outside, the air is full of the sounds of rickshaws and people shouting. Inside, you get that familiar smell of oil and old metal. Since there’s no air conditioning, we rely on the ceiling fans to keep the air moving, though it still gets stuffy in the summer. We see everyone from professional builders to local folks trying to fix a leaky tap at home. We do our best to help them find the right part, even if they don't know exactly what it's called. Even though the sign says Pvt Ltd on the paper, it still feels like a small family-run shop. We aren't trying to be fancy or corporate. Just a regular hardware store in an old part of the city. We open the doors early and stay until the sun goes down. There is always a shelf to restock or a floor that needs a quick sweep before we leave. We like it here.
