We are based at 705 Ward No 3 in Mehrauli, Delhi. If you know this part of the city, you know how the lanes are narrow and there are people everywhere. Our office is right in the middle of all that history and noise. It’s a small space, mostly filled with filing cabinets and a couple of desks that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who are looking for work and trying to figure out where they might fit best. The walls have some old maps and a few notices pinned up. It’s usually pretty loud outside with the market nearby, but we don't mind it much. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window to use the natural light until it comes back on. We aren't some big agency with a glass front. We are just a few people in a room helping other people find jobs. There is usually a pile of newspapers on the corner table and a jar of biscuits that is almost always empty. Mehrauli is a busy place to be, and our office is no different. We keep the door open and there is almost always someone sitting in the extra chair waiting to talk to us about a lead or a new position. We just take it one person at a time and see what we can do.
