Our office for Mitjobs is at C-10 in Panchsheel Vihar, which is part of the Khirki Extension area. If you’ve ever been to Malviya Nagar, you know how crowded it can get. We chose this spot because it’s central, even if the lanes are a bit narrow. The office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s just a practical space where we have our computers and phones. We spend most of our time talking to people who are looking for a new start in their careers. It’s a lot of listening and a lot of typing. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with all the printed resumes and notebooks lying around. We don’t have a cleaning crew that comes in every night, so we usually just tidy up ourselves. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to help people out. We don’t use any big words or complicated processes. We just look at what a person can do and try to find a place that needs those skills. Lunch usually involves someone going out to grab rolls or samosas from the corner shop. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We don’t have a boss who watches over our shoulders all day. We just know what we need to do and we get it done by the time we leave at six. It’s just us trying to make things easier for job hunters in the city.
