It’s an older building with a lot of character, which we like more than those new glass buildings. We work on finding people jobs and helping companies find workers. It’s what we’ve always done. Kolkata is a big, busy city, so there’s always someone looking for work or someone looking to hire. We spend most of our day on the phone or reading through piles of papers. It can get a bit messy in here when we have a lot of applications, but we manage to keep track of it all. We don’t have any fancy software to do everything for us. We just use our heads and talk to people. It’s a very human way of doing business. We aren't a giant agency with offices everywhere. It’s just us here at Kalyani Villa. We have our tea together in the afternoon and talk about what’s going on in the city. If you’re looking for a job or need some help with your staffing, you can just stop by. We don’t have a formal reception, so you might have to wait a minute if we are on the phone. We just try to be useful and keep things moving.
