Madan Lal Mohan Lal

We have been operating here in Naya Bazar at 3954/C for quite a long time now, way longer than some of the newer buildings around us. It’s a really busy spot, and there is always something moving or someone shouting for a rickshaw to move out of the way. The shop is called Madan Lal Mohan Lal, and it's basically a family-run thing that’s been passed down. We deal with the day-to-day stuff people need, mostly grains and dry goods that come in big burlap sacks. My father started it, or maybe it was my grandfather before that, and we just keep the doors open every single morning without fail. It gets incredibly dusty and loud outside because of the market, but once you step inside, we just focus on getting the orders right. People come in and they know us by name, and we usually know theirs too. It’s not a fancy place with glass windows or air conditioning or anything like that. Just a regular, old-fashioned shop where we keep the stock organized the best we can on wooden shelves. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lane for an hour, and we just have to sit and wait, but that’s just how life is in this part of town. We handle all the paperwork ourselves on a small wooden desk. It's mostly about making sure the quality is decent. We don't spend money on big signs or ads.
