Our place is at 2033, Main Malka Gunj Road. If you know the area, you know how loud it gets with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a narrow building, but we’ve made the most of the space. The shelves are packed tight with whatever we’re moving that week. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially on Mondays when everything arrives at once. We don’t have a fancy lobby or chairs for people to wait in. You just walk in off the road and we see what you need at Komal Enterprises. The main road is always a mess of traffic, so we hear honking all day long. It becomes like background music after a while. We have a small staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for something, we might have to dig for a minute, but we usually find it. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards. Most people find us because they were already driving down Malka Gunj Road and saw the sign. We stay open until the sun goes down and the street lights flicker on. Then we pull down the shutter and call it a day. We’ve thought about moving to a quieter spot, but this is where everyone knows to find us, so we stay. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us and the people who come by.
