Anand Electric Company

Our shop is tucked away in Bhagirath Palace in Chandni Chowk. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know exactly what I am talking about. It is crowded, loud, and smells like street food and old buildings. We are at number 1754. We’ve been selling electrical stuff here for years and the place is packed from floor to ceiling with wires, switches, and lights. It is not the kind of place where you find a nice air-conditioned showroom. It is a real market shop. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the boxes. Most of our customers are contractors or people looking for specific parts they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the lane and we just keep working with torches. It is chaotic but it works. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we usually get tea from the same guy every afternoon. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy reels of wire and counting out small components. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people face to face. If you come by, you might have to squeeze past a few delivery carts to get inside. It’s just the way things are in Chandni Chowk. We like the hustle and the fact that we have everything anyone could need for their home wiring or bigger projects.
