Kingfisher

Kingfisher is based here at Flat No 6050/8 in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. It’s inside the D-6 block. Working out of a flat is pretty common around here, and it makes the workday feel a bit more like home. We have a few rooms set up with desks and plenty of power strips for all our electronics. Vasant Kunj is a nice area, though the traffic near the malls can be a real pain in the afternoon. Our office isn't very big, so we all sit pretty close to each other. We spend a lot of time on our laptops and talking about various projects. There’s always a stack of papers somewhere that needs sorting. We don't really have a front desk or a receptionist. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. Usually, it’s just the mail or someone delivering lunch. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and keep our tiffins. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big logos on the walls. We just focus on the work we have to do. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to be too loud when we’re leaving in the evening. It’s a simple, honest way to run things in the city. We enjoy the local parks for a quick walk when things get stressful at the desks. It's a good place to be.
