Kharkia Udyog

Kharkia Udyog is our place and we are located at Plot Number A-52 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. Wazirpur is a very well-known spot for manufacturing and there are hundreds of plots just like ours. We’ve been at A-52 for many years now and the building has definitely seen better days. It’s an old industrial structure, but it serves our purposes well enough. Inside, it’s noisy and there’s always the smell of oil and metal. We don't have a fancy office or a reception area with a sofa. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor working alongside the other guys. We don't have a marketing department and we don't spend time on the internet. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. It’s a busy neighborhood and the streets are often clogged with trucks and carts. We just try to manage our own space and get our orders out on time. The work is repetitive and hard, but we don't mind it. Everyone who works here knows the routine and we just get on with things without much talk. We don't have any big corporate slogans. We just focus on the machines and the production. It’s a practical, local business and we’ve been doing it this way since the start. That’s just the way it is in Wazirpur. We usually share some tea in the afternoon while the machines are cooling down.
