Our shop is tucked away at 2454/11 in Krishna Market. It’s very close to Teliwara Chowk, which is one of those places that stays busy from morning until late at night. You have to navigate through a lot of carts and people just to get to our door. The shop itself is old, and it feels like it. The walls have some marks on them and the ceiling fans make a bit of noise, but it’s home for us. We deal with whatever comes our way, mostly stuff that the local people and other traders need. It’s a family thing, so you’ll usually see a few of us sitting around talking or checking the ledgers. We don’t use any fancy systems here; it’s mostly just notebooks and pens. The market is narrow and the air is always thick with the smell of street food and old buildings. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years, sometimes just to say hello and drink a cup of tea. There isn't much space to move around once you get inside because of all the stock piled up against the walls. It’s just the way things are in this part of town. We open the shutters early and stay until the market starts to quiet down, which isn't very often. It’s hard work, but we are used to the pace.
