Toys Sadan

You can find Toys Sadan up on the second floor of Plot No. 5407/15 in Pratap Market. Being in Sadar Bazar means it is always loud and crowded outside our doors. There are people moving carts and shouting all day long. Our space is filled with boxes of toys stacked nearly to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze trying to walk through the aisles sometimes. We handle a lot of different items, from small plastic trinkets to bigger boxed sets. Since we are on the second floor, we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which is a good workout I suppose. The air always smells a bit like new plastic and cardboard. We don’t have a fancy display window or anything like that because we are more focused on keeping the stock moving. It gets really dusty in the market, so we spend a lot of time wiping down boxes. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out. It’s just how things go here. We have some regulars who have been coming to us for years to pick up stock for their own small shops. We know their names and what they usually like to buy. It’s a busy, cramped place but we like being in the middle of the market action. It feels like we are part of the history of the area. We just keep stacking boxes and helping people find what they need for their customers.
