Jtv Channel is located right over in the Diz Area, Sector 4, near Gole Market. Being on Bangla Sahib Marg means there is always something happening outside. Our space at L 59 isn't huge, but we make it work for everything we need to do. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the equipment and cables running across the floor. We do a lot of local stuff, trying to keep up with what’s going on around Delhi. It’s definitely not a Hollywood studio. Sometimes the lights are a bit too bright and the room gets warm, but that’s just part of the job. We have editors, camera folks, and people just trying to manage the schedule all squeezed in together. Gole Market is a great spot to be because you can get almost anything you need just by walking a few minutes. We spend a lot of time drinking coffee and looking at monitors. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We just want to get the stories out and make sure the signal is clear. There’s always someone running in with a new tape or a hard drive. It can be chaotic, especially when there's a deadline, but we’ve got a good rhythm down now. We have been here for years and the office has seen better days, but the equipment works and that is what matters. We just keep our heads down and focus on the broadcast. It’s just a bunch of us working hard in a small office in New Delhi.
