You can find us near Teliwara Chowk, right in the thick of Janta Market. Being on the first floor means we are slightly removed from the ground-level chaos of Sadar Bazar, but the noise still makes its way up. Jai Chand Rai & Sons has been a name around here for a long time. It started with the elders and now the next generation is keeping it going. We don't have a lot of space for bells and whistles. The rooms are packed with inventory, mostly general goods that people in the trade need daily. Walking through the market to get to our door can be a bit of a squeeze, especially when the loaders are moving heavy sacks. We keep a ledger, talk to the regulars, and try to keep things moving. There isn't a marketing team or a strategy. We just show up, open the shutters, and handle the requests as they come in. If a customer is looking for something specific, we usually know exactly which pile it's in. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, and the lights could be brighter, but it's where we work every day. People come to us because they know we’ve been here and we aren't going anywhere. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation in a very busy part of town. We don't use fancy computers for everything, just the basics to get the orders filled and the customers out the door.
