J R Enterprises

J R Enterprises is located in the Okhla Industrial Estate at B 185, inside one of the DDA sheds in Phase 1. It is a very industrial feel around here with the sound of machinery and the smell of metal and grease from the nearby workshops. The shed is quite large but it gets incredibly hot during the summer months because of the metal roof. We have a lot of stock piled up on pallets and we spend a good part of the day moving things back and forth. It’s a lot of manual work and we wear heavy shoes because you never know what you might stub your toe on. There are trucks constantly coming in and out of the estate which makes the roads pretty bumpy and full of potholes. Our office part is just a small partitioned area with a desk and a couple of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We mostly talk to suppliers and handle the logistics of getting goods in and out. It’s not the kind of place where you come to relax. We drink a lot of water and try to stay out of the sun when we can. The people working in the other sheds are friendly enough and we all know the local tea stall owner. It’s a tough environment but we are used to the noise and the hard work.
