We have the usual rows of counters and some chairs that stay occupied most of the day. The air conditioning struggles a bit when the place is packed, but we do our best. We’re just regular staff members dealing with cash, passbooks, and all the usual banking stuff. There’s a lot of paperwork involved, and sometimes the system goes slow, which makes the lines longer. We don’t have time for a lot of fancy talk because there’s always the next person in line to help. Outside, the market is full of shops and street food, and the smell of snacks often drifts in when someone opens the door. It’s a demanding place to work because of the constant flow of people, but it’s never boring. We’ve all worked here long enough to know the regular customers by name. It’s just a busy local bank branch doing its daily job.
