Hemkunt Bearings

G B Road is always crowded, no matter what time it is. We are in Office No. 43 on Shardhanand Marg. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to us. Hemkunt Bearings is written on the board outside. It gets pretty dusty because of all the traffic and the wind. We spend a lot of time checking lists and looking at boxes in the back. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes. We’ve thought about fixing it, but we’re usually too busy with the bearings to bother. It’s a tight space in here. We have a desk and a couple of chairs. Not much else to look at. Shardhanand Marg has a lot of businesses that are just like ours. You hear the trucks and the shouting from the street all day long. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone when it rings. We just make do with what we have. We’ve been here for a good while now. We know the neighbors at number 42 and number 44. Sometimes we share a tea in the afternoon. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy website or a big staff. Just a few of us making sure everything is in order. The name is on the door in plain letters. People come in looking for specific parts. We look through the shelves for them. It takes a bit of time. We don't mind. It's just how the day goes on G B Road. When it rains, the water splashes up from the street. We just keep the door shut.
