Freelance

I work out of B-8, 6012 in Vasant Kunj. This is where I do all my freelance work. It’s basically just a room in a residential block, so it’s very quiet and private for the most part. Vasant Kunj is a nice area with plenty of trees and it feels a bit more relaxed than the more central parts of Delhi. My desk is right by the window so I can see what’s happening in the street below, which is mostly just people coming home from work or delivery bikes zooming past. I have my computer, a printer that jams more often than I’d like, and stacks of paper everywhere. Since it’s just me, I don't have to worry about office politics or long meetings that don't go anywhere. I just wake up, make some coffee, and sit down to work. Some days I’m here until very late at night when the whole building is silent. Other days I might take a long break in the middle of the afternoon to run errands or just get some fresh air. It isn't a professional office building with a guard at the door or a fancy lobby. It’s just my space where I can get things done without being bothered. I’ve lived and worked in this part of Vasant Kunj for a while and I’ve got a good routine going now at B-8.
