Delhi Heart & Lung Institute

Delhi Heart & Lung Institute is over in Ashok Nagar, specifically at House No. 6 in the 38 Block. It’s a busy place because health is something everyone worries about. We aren't a giant hospital with miles of hallways. It’s more of a focused spot where we look after people’s hearts and lungs. The waiting room usually has some old magazines and the chairs are comfortable enough, but people are usually a bit anxious when they come in. We try to keep things calm. There’s a lot of medical equipment around, and it hums all day long. The staff here are just regular people who have been doing this for a long time. We know the local shopkeepers and the traffic patterns on our street. Sometimes the parking out front is a nightmare, but people manage. We don’t have those fancy digital screens everywhere. We still use a lot of paper forms and clipboards. It feels more real that way. It’s not a shiny, corporate medical center. It’s just a place in New Delhi where you can get your chest checked out without too much fuss. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during long shifts. The walls are a pale color that’s supposed to be soothing, though it’s starting to peel a bit in the corners. We just focus on the patients and leave the fancy decorations to others.
