DCS Cargo

Our office is right in the middle of the chaos in Karol Bagh at Pal Mohan Plaza. Being on D B Gupta Road means there is always noise from the street and people shouting, but that’s just life here. At DCS Cargo, we deal with a lot of boxes and crates every single day. The B-17 unit is usually packed to the ceiling with stuff waiting to go out. It’s not a very pretty sight if you like things neat and tidy. There is tape everywhere and the floor is always a bit dusty from the loading. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking lists to make sure things are moving. The lift in the building is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. It’s a tough business because things get delayed and traffic in Delhi is a nightmare, but we just do what we can. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the other shop owners around here pretty well. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything. It’s just a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of cargo. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment comes in, eating snacks from the stall downstairs. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. It can be a long day, especially when the phones don't stop ringing and everyone is asking where their stuff is. We just keep sorting through the boxes one at a time.
