Councelling

You can find us on the second floor at number 290 in Bhai Parmanand Colony. It’s in North Delhi, postcode 110009, though most people just say Delhi-9. The name on the door just says Councelling. It’s a quiet space where people can come to talk things out. We aren't a big clinic with a waiting room full of magazines and a receptionist. It is more informal than that. Usually, you just walk up the stairs and we sit down in the back room where it's a bit quieter. Being on the second floor helps keep the street noise down a little, though you can still hear the traffic sometimes. It’s a simple office with a few chairs and some tea if you want it. We deal with all sorts of things that people are going through. Life in the city can be pretty stressful, so having a place to just vent or figure things out helps. I don't follow a strict script when I talk to people. Every person who comes in is different, so we just take it as it comes. Sometimes we sit for an hour, sometimes longer. It depends on the day and how much someone has on their mind. The furniture is a bit old, but it is comfortable enough for what we do. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a while now. It’s just a practical place for anyone who needs someone to listen without making a big fuss.
