Our shop is tucked away in Chawri Bazar, specifically at number 998 in Katra Mangal Sen. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets with all the paper and card shops around us. It’s a tight space, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. There are stacks of cardstock and sample books piled up almost to the ceiling. Most days are spent talking to people about wedding invites or business cards. The noise from the street is constant, with rickshaws and people moving back and forth outside the door. We usually have the smell of fresh ink and paper in the air. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to it by now. The lights inside are a bit dim because of all the boxes stored on the overhead racks. We spend a lot of time checking the print quality and making sure the edges are cut right. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to fix it on the spot with a few basic tools. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us handling the orders and the customers who walk in from the lane. It’s a lot of standing and moving heavy boxes of paper around. We have been in Katra Mangal Sen for a long time, so we know the neighbors well. It’s just how things are in this market, always busy and a bit chaotic, but we get the jobs finished eventually.
