Acme Overseas

Acme Overseas is located on the top floor of Vakil Chamber, which is at A-115 on Vikas Marg in Shakarpur. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how loud and busy it stays. Being on the top floor means we get a bit of a breeze, but the climb up can be a lot on a hot day. The office is full of files and old computers. We do a lot of our work over the phone, so it’s usually pretty noisy with two or three people talking at once. Vikas Marg is always jammed with cars and rickshaws, so we can hear the honking all day long. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us trying to stay on top of the orders. The desk in the corner has a leg that wobbles, so we propped it up with a piece of cardboard. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a small one by the door. Lunch is usually something someone brought from home or ordered from the shop downstairs. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy in the afternoons. It’s not a polished corporate office, just a place where we come to work and get things moving overseas. Sometimes the courier guy is late, and we all just wait around near the entrance. It’s a practical setup that works for us and has for years. There isn't any fancy lobby, just our workspace.
