Chandra Agencies

Chandra Agencies is located on the ground floor of the Ramnath Building, which is number 2400/4. We are right in the middle of Farash Khana, just off G.B Road. This area is always packed with people, rickshaws, and delivery trucks, so there is never a dull moment. The building is quite old and has a lot of character, with high ceilings that help keep it a bit cooler in the summer. Our shop is mostly a long counter and a lot of storage space for all the goods we handle. Dust is a constant battle here because of all the traffic outside, so we are always cleaning off the shelves. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of stools for people to sit on while we pull their orders from the back. It gets pretty crowded when a new shipment arrives and we have to stack boxes wherever they will fit. Most of our customers are regulars from the local market or people who have been coming to Farash Khana for years. We do a lot of our work by hand, writing out slips and keeping track of the inventory in thick books. There is a small tea stall nearby that brings us chai a few times a day, which is the highlight of the afternoon. It is a busy, cramped, and functional place where we just focus on getting the orders out and keeping the business running as usual.
