We run our courier shop in Chakkarpur at Shop No 62 in the Krishna Market. It’s a small space, but we manage to handle a lot of packages every single day. Most of the time, the floor is covered with boxes and bags waiting to be sent out. We have a counter where we weigh everything and write out the receipts by hand. Krishna Market is always full of life, so we see all kinds of people coming in. Some are just sending a letter to a relative, while others have big shipments for their own small businesses. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find our way around the local alleys. Our day starts early when the first batch of deliveries arrives, and it doesn't really slow down until we close the shutters. We don't have any corporate branding all over the walls. It’s just a place to get your parcels sent. The tape dispenser is probably the most used thing in the whole shop. Sometimes the lines get a bit long in the evenings, and people have to wait their turn on the sidewalk. We just keep our heads down and try to get every label printed clearly. It’s a basic service, but we take it seriously because people are counting on those packages getting to where they need to go. That’s just life at the shop, day after day, keeping things moving.
