Asian Traders

Asian Traders is tucked away in the neighborhood of Jafrabad. You can find us at Shop No. 864 on Lane No. 30/5. It’s right on the Kashmiri Building Road quite close to Indra Chowk. The lanes are quite narrow around this part of town, so it can be a bit of a tight squeeze if two carts are trying to pass each other at the same time. Our shop is not very large at all, but we try to make the most of every inch of space we have available. We’ve got wooden shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, packed with all sorts of different items. Sometimes it takes a tall ladder and a bit of searching to find exactly what a customer is looking for in the back. We open up the shop early, usually before the sun gets too high in the sky, to sweep the front step and get things ready for the day. Indra Chowk is always buzzing with a lot of energy, which we actually quite like. There is always a lot of shouting and haggling going on nearby, but that is just the way the local market works here. We have a small wooden bench in the back where we sit to take our short breaks. The building itself is quite old, and you can see the history in the worn bricks and the heavy wooden door frames. We don't really do much advertising because people mostly find us by word of mouth or by just wandering down our lane.
