Akash Ganga Couriers Ltd is based in Karol Bagh on D B Gupta Road, at 784/785. It’s a high-traffic area, so there is always someone coming in or out. Our office is filled with the sound of packing tape being pulled and the shuffling of papers. We have stacks of delivery logs that go back months piled up in the corner. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the bags waiting to be loaded onto the trucks. The guys who do the deliveries are usually in a hurry, so there’s a lot of shouting back and forth about routes and timing. We don't have a fancy system for everything; a lot of it is just knowing the city and who to call when a bike breaks down. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and the desk is cluttered with pens that mostly don't work. We've been at this D B Gupta Road spot for a long time, so we're used to the dust and the heat. It’s a straightforward job, moving things from one place to another. We don't make it sound more complicated than it is. Sometimes a package gets stuck in traffic or a customer is grumpy, but we just deal with it and move on to the next one. It’s just how a courier shop in this part of town runs. We don't use much fancy equipment, just a few old ledgers and a lot of patience. It’s a busy corner of Delhi and we’ve learned to just go with the flow of things.
