Advent Group

Advent Group is on the first floor of A-123 in Lane No 8, which is part of the Mini Market in Madhu Vihar, Patparganj. Since we are in a market area, there is always something going on downstairs. You can hear the sounds of the shops opening and people bargaining for groceries. Our office is a simple one-room setup with a small partition for the back area. We have some metal cupboards where we store all our records and a couple of desks that have seen better years. The stairs leading up are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to be careful when you’re carrying things. It’s a very lived-in space with pens scattered around and stacks of files that need to be sorted. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that, just a couple of chairs for guests near the entrance. The lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but we have some desk lamps that help. Most of the work involves talking to people and keeping the schedules straight. It’s a local operation and we know most of the other shopkeepers in the lane. We usually close up once the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s just a normal, everyday office where we go to get our work done without any fuss. The fan makes a bit of noise but we don't mind it much.
