Shemrock Hillview

People know us on Shastradhara Road here in Dehradun. It is a busy part of town and we are right in the middle of it. We spend our mornings waiting for the kids to arrive. Some come by bus and others walk with their parents. Our building isn't anything out of the ordinary, just a place for children to spend their day. We have walls covered in drawings and the smell of lunch usually starts around noon. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everyone. Sometimes things get a bit messy with all the toys and books, but that’s just how it goes with kids. We have a routine that we follow. We do some reading, then some play, then some more learning. Shastradhara Road can be loud with traffic, but once you step inside, it feels different. We’ve been here at this address for a while now and most people in the neighborhood recognize the name Shemrock Hillview. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for the little ones to be while their parents are at work. The afternoon sun hits the front of the school and that’s usually when everyone starts getting tired. We pack up the bags, make sure everyone has their water bottles, and wait for the pickups. It’s a simple life for us here in Dehradun and we like the people we meet. It keeps the day interesting even when we are tired.
