This particular branch or office is located at 12/58-A in Vijay Colony, Dehradun. It’s a residential-feeling area, which makes the work environment quite calm. Even though the main name sounds very formal, this local spot is pretty down-to-earth. We have a few rooms set up for research and administrative work. The walls are lined with books and old folders that have been gathered over the years. Being in Dehradun, the weather is usually decent, so we often have the windows open to let in the air and the sounds of the birds outside. We spend our days looking at data, writing up reports, and answering emails from students or other researchers. It’s a lot of quiet time spent at the computer. We aren't a huge campus here in Vijay Colony, just a focused little hub. The staff is small, and we’ve all known each other for a long time. We share a small kitchen area where we make coffee and eat lunch together. It’s not the kind of place with a lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and see us working at our desks. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the tables when things get busy. It’s just a regular place where people come to do their jobs and contribute to the bigger picture of education and research in their own small way. It stays pretty quiet here most days.
