Deemed University ( College Of Fashion Technology)

We are located at 19-C Subhash Road in Dehradun. Our place is known as Doonga House and it’s right behind Hotel Pacific. It’s an older building that we’ve used for the fashion technology college for a while. It’s not like a modern university with glass walls. It feels more like a workshop. We have rooms filled with sewing machines, ironing boards, and large tables for cutting fabric. There are always students around, usually covered in thread or carrying big rolls of cloth. It can get pretty messy during project weeks. We teach the practical side of fashion, like how to actually make a garment from scratch. It’s noisy when all the machines are running at once. Subhash Road is a central part of Dehradun, so it’s easy for the students to get here. The building has high ceilings and old windows, which gives it a bit of character. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the stuff you actually need to learn the trade. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We spend our days showing people how to drape fabric or fix a hem. It’s a lot of hard work for the students, and for us too. We just try to keep everything organized enough so people can find their needles and scissors. It’s a busy, creative spot and there’s always something being made.
