Clock Tower Cafe

Clock Tower Cafe is up here in Landour, Mussoorie. We are right by the clock tower, which is where everyone seems to meet up eventually. The pin code is 248179. Living and working in the mountains is a bit different than the plains. The air is thinner and the pace is a lot slower, except when the tourists arrive in droves. We spend a lot of our time just looking out at the hills and keeping the cafe tidy. It gets cold up here, especially in the winters, so we spend a lot of energy just keeping the place warm and comfortable. The clock tower itself is an old landmark that has seen a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that just by being next to it. We aren't a big fancy establishment. We are just a local cafe where you can sit down for a bit. The wood floors creak and the windows sometimes rattle when the wind picks up, but that’s just Landour for you. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. Just the basics to get the job done. Every morning we sweep the front and wait for the fog to lift so we can see the road clearly. It’s a quiet life for the most part, and we like the people who stop by to chat while they are out for a walk. We are just here, doing our thing near the tower, making sure the cafe stays open.
