Children Academy International

Up here on Oak Hill Estate, things are a lot quieter than down in the main city. We’re located on the Mussoorie Diversion Road, and it’s a bit of a climb to get to us. The air is definitely fresher, and you can see the trees all around the property. Being an international academy, we have a mix of kids, but it feels more like a local family place. The morning starts with the cold air and the sound of the school buses coming up the hill. We spend a lot of time making sure the heaters are working in the winter because it gets quite chilly up here. The building has been around for a bit, and we have a post box number since the mail takes a while to reach us. It’s not a flashy place; we just have the classrooms and the playground. The kids spend their breaks running around the estate. We don't have the same noise as schools in the city, which is nice. Our staff mostly lives nearby or travels up the road every day. We just focus on the kids and their daily work. Sometimes the monkeys from the woods come near the windows, which distracts everyone for a minute. It’s a very plain, honest way of living and teaching. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just show up and teach. It’s a good spot for a school.
