Davanagere Negilasiri Farmers Producercompany Limited

We've been operating out of the Anjanaya Swami Temple Comity Hall in Alur for a while now. Most people around Davanagere know the spot. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to get together to handle our work better. It’s a lot of work coordinating everyone, but we manage. The office isn't anything fancy, just a room where we meet up to discuss the crops and what's happening in the fields. Some days are busier than others, especially when the season changes. Being in Davanagere, the weather really dictates our schedule. We deal with the day-to-day realities of farming. It isn't always easy, and sometimes we disagree on how to do things, but we're all neighbors. We try to keep things simple and honest. If you’re ever near the temple hall, you might see a few of us hanging around talking shop. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. Just some folks from the 577512 area trying to make a living off the land. The Negilasiri group is basically just us looking out for each other. We use the hall for our meetings because it’s central for everyone in the village. It gets dusty and hot in the summer, but that’s just how it is. We focus on the soil and the harvest. That's pretty much what goes on here every day. No big speeches, just farming and talking about the rain. It's a small place, but it works for us.
