Raitha Sambrudhi Farmer Producer Company Limited is run out of Hosakere in Jagaluru. We use the place at Devarajagowda’s house, he’s the son of Sannappagowda. It's a real local setup. Most of us have grown up together here, and we all know how tough the farming life can be in this district. We started this because we were tired of being at the mercy of the big buyers who come through. By putting our names together under this company, we have a bit more weight when we go to buy seeds or try to sell our produce. It’s not like we have a big staff or anything. It's mostly just a few of us sitting around a table in the evenings, trying to figure out the math and making sure everyone gets their fair share. We talk about the crops, the water situation, and whose tractor is currently broken. It's very informal. Sometimes we forget to file things exactly on time because we're too busy in the fields, but we try our best. This is about neighbors helping neighbors. There are no big bosses here, just farmers who want to see their community do a little better. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Hosakere over the years, and this company is just our way of trying to stay ahead of things.
