P. B. Enterprise

P. B. Enterprise is based in Patkata Village, which is part of the Jalpaiguri area. It’s a quiet place, mostly made up of fields and small houses. We aren't a big corporation with a tall building or a glass front. We work out of a simple setup here in the village. Jalpaiguri is known for its tea, so it’s only natural that we ended up in this business. Every morning starts with the sounds of the village waking up and the birds in the trees. We don't have a lot of employees, just a few of us who have lived here all our lives. We handle various things related to the tea trade. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags around and checking the leaves. We don't use any big words or marketing tricks to sell what we do. People in Patkata know us, and word of mouth is how we get most of our work. The weather can be tough sometimes, with heavy rains that make the local roads very difficult to travel. But we manage to get things done anyway. We keep our records in simple notebooks and focus on the day-to-day tasks. It’s a modest way to live and work. We don't have big plans to move to the city. We like it here in the village, staying close to the source of the tea and living a life that is honest and practical. It’s just how we do things.
