Maya Enterprise

Down at the Air Port Market in Baghdogra, you’ll find Maya Enterprise. Being so close to the airport and in the Darjeeling district means there is always a lot of movement and different people passing through. It’s a busy market area, and we fit right into the middle of it. We handle all sorts of trade and enterprise stuff, though most of it is just basic buying and selling. The shop is small and can get a bit cluttered when a new shipment arrives. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and trying to figure out the best way to get things moved. The weather here can be quite rainy, which sometimes slows down the trucks coming from the hills. We don't have a big website or a social media manager. We just open the doors in the morning and see what the day brings. Most of our customers are people we've known for years, so we spend a lot of time just chatting over tea while we work. It’s a lived-in kind of place, with papers on the desk and boxes on the floor. We just do our best to stay organized and keep the business running like it always has. There is always a bit of dust and the sound of planes overhead, but that is just part of being in Baghdogra. We like the hustle and bustle.
