St Xavier'S High School

You can find us right on the Main Road in Ranti. Being in Madhubani, we get a lot of students from the town and the surrounding villages nearby. The school has been part of this community for many years. It is a large building with several floors and plenty of stairs. You can hear the bells ringing throughout the day to mark the change in periods. We have a lot of students, so the hallways get pretty crowded during the short breaks. The classrooms have standard wooden benches and blackboards that we use every single day. It is a very traditional setup. We do not have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, but the teachers know their subjects well. They spend a lot of time writing out notes and checking piles of homework. There is a big playground out front where the older boys play football or cricket when the weather is decent. In the summer, it gets really hot in Madhubani, so we have fans going in every room. The office is right near the entrance. That is where the principal and the clerks sit. There is always someone coming in to ask about admissions or pay their monthly fees. We have a small garden area near the gate that we try to keep neat, though the goats sometimes get in. It is a busy place from morning until the afternoon when the buses leave.
