Delhi Public School

Our Delhi Public School is out on the Ghanshyampur Rasiyari Road. It is a bit of a drive to get out here to Ghanshyampur in Darbhanga, but it's where we are. The zip code is 847427. The area is more open than the city center, which gives us a bit of breathing room. The building is fairly large and has plenty of windows to let the light in. I work in the office mostly, dealing with paperwork and talking to parents who come in from the surrounding villages. It isn't a fancy corporate office; it’s just a room with some desks and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. We have a lot of students who take the bus to get here every morning. You can hear them coming from a mile away. The grounds around the school are mostly grass and dirt where the kids play. It can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure there are teachers in the rooms and that the kids have books. Some of the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the roof doesn't leak, and that's what matters. It is a quiet part of Darbhanga until the school day starts. We keep things moving and try to stay organized as best as we can. Every day is different here.
