Gurukul Public School

We have been here in Darbhanga on T.B.D.C. Road for quite a long time now. People around Allalpatti know us well because of the school gate right near the hospital road intersection. It gets really busy in the mornings with cycles, rickshaws, and parents everywhere. We have kids coming from all different parts of the town. Inside, it is mostly just teachers trying to keep things organized while the children run around the corridors. It isn't a fancy place with high walls or polished floors, but we keep the rooms clean and make sure the fans are working during the hot summer months. Some of our staff have been working here since the very start, so they know most of the local families by name. Life at the school is simple. We follow the usual books and have exams when we are supposed to. Sometimes the noise from the hospital area carries over into the classrooms, but we just get on with the lessons regardless. Parents often come by to talk about their kids' grades or just to see what is happening. We do not have a massive playground, but the kids always manage to play some games in the open spaces we have. It is a bit crowded on some days, especially when it rains and the road outside gets all muddy. But that is just how it is in this part of Darbhanga. We try to make sure every student learns something useful before they head home.
