In Cuttack, we are located over in the Jyoti Vihar area, specifically at the place of Sri Sreedhar Dash. It’s in Bidanasi, which is a part of town that has grown a lot lately. Our office is more like a house that’s been converted into a workspace. It’s got that old Orissa charm with the heavy doors and the way the light hits the courtyard in the afternoon. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We handle everything from that one main room where we have all our files and a couple of old computers. The weather in Cuttack can be really hot, so we rely on the overhead fans and the thick walls to keep us cool while we work. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just help out with whatever local projects come our way and try to keep Sreedhar’s affairs in order. It’s a very personal way of doing things. You won’t find any corporate logos on the walls here. Instead, there are just photos of the family and maybe some old maps of the city. We take our tea breaks together and talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we still manage to get the work done before the day is out.
