Aarti Steel Ltd

Our other spot for Aarti Steel Ltd is located in the Rajabagicha area, specifically near Badhei Sahi in Telenga Bazar. This is one of those old parts of Cuttack where the history is buried deep in the ground. S.S. Das and P.C. Das have been handling things here for quite a while. The office is tucked away in a neighborhood that feels like it hasn’t changed much in decades. We deal with steel, but our daily view is of the local houses and small shops that line the Bazar. It’s a bit different from a modern industrial park. We have to be careful with how we move materials because the roads weren’t really built for big modern trucks. The workday usually involves a lot of shouting across the yard to get things loaded and a fair amount of time spent on the phone. It’s a simple life here; we open up early, sweep the front, and get to work. The smells of the local market—spices and street food—often drift into the workspace. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. The fans hum all day long, and the metal gets hot in the sun. It’s just how it is working in Telenga Bazar. We like being centrally located where everyone knows where to find us.
